About Donna
Donna Satchell is an Achievement Speaker, Success Skills Trainer, Certified Vision Board Counselor, Life Coach, and Author. Through her business, STARR Consulting & Training, she is trains, inspires, and empowers individuals and business teams to achieve greater success. Donna's trademark, Just Get Serious™, is her business and life philosophy. She is serious about developing, designing and delivering programs and speeches that are engaging, interactive, and get results. Donna is equally serious about developing herself into the best possible person she can be.

Passionate about helping people be more successful, Donna and, business colleague, Lynda Shorter co-founded Women Aspiring Together To Succeed (WATTS) in 2000. Since that time, they have organized, and facilitated more than 100 meetings and special events for members focused on personal development through books discussions, guest speakers, and various activities. Under their leadership WATTS continues to inspire and empower women to live their best lives. In 2012 The Georgia Summit of African-American Business Organizations presented Donna and Lynda with their Pact Award, recognizing their vision and commitment to positively impact the lives of women for 12 years.
Also passionate about people furthering their education, Donna is on the Advisory Committee for Georgia Piedmont Technical College and participates in their planning sessions. A life-long learner, Donna is always attending seminars, taking online classes, and reading.

Donna is the previous winner of “The Best Motivational Speaker in Five Minutes or Less” and “The Two Minute Adversity Challenge Speech", sponsored by The Twinkie Awards, which honors small business creativity and excellence.
She is also the winner of various Toastmasters contests, including the Division Level International Speech Contest.

To develop her skill set and stay abreast of changes within her industry, Donna has been a member of both the American Society for Training & Development and the National Speakers Association (NSA). She is the past recipient of the NSA Georgia Chapter's Spirit for her outstanding commitment and contribution. In previous years, she served as the chapter's Director of Volunteers and the Vice President of Marketing.
Prior to starting her business, Donna worked at Clairol for over 15 years. Because of her decision to "just get serious"
about continuing her education and excelling at her work, she achieved remarkable accomplishments including:
1) Graduating from college with top honors while working full-time as an administrative assistant; 2) Being the first administrative assistant promoted into a management-level marketing position at Clairol; 3) Receiving numerous individual and team awards and being recognized as one of the company’s experts on field-based analysis and category management .After Donna left Clairol in 2002, she began to pursue her passion of helping businesses develop their employees and helping individuals become more successful.

Donna has appeared on the stage of the Punchline, a comedy club in Atlanta, as part of a humor workshop she took. She was also on the TV show, Makeover Manor, as one of the individuals who got a 'head to toe' new look. Donna is always looking for exciting activities to participate in during her free time.
