Carl McNair : Author, Speaker, Technologist, STEM Expert
Mr. Carl S. McNair is President and CEO of McNair Achievement Programs (MAP) in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an author, inspirational speaker, technologist and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education Consultant.
For over twenty years, McNair Achievement Programs have developed and implemented successful S.T.E.M. educational programs. Mr. McNair has appeared on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS & PBS television networks and been featured on NPR’s Tavis Smiley Show. McNair earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology (Manufacturing Engineering) from North Carolina A&T State University and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He has held a variety of management and consulting positions with a number of Fortune 500 companies as well as owning a computer and software engineering consulting firm. Carl is known for delivering inspirational keynote speeches and powerful seminars annually to numerous organizations & TRIO programs; this includes colleges & universities with McNair Scholars Programs, Upward Bound, Talent Search and / or other educational programs. McNair Scholars ProgramCarl McNair is very proud of the collaborative efforts of The McNair Foundation along with friends on Capitol Hill to fund the prestigious Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair Scholars Program). Today, McNair Scholar’s Programs reside at 201 colleges and universities nationally including Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Since its inception in 1987 over 80,000 McNair Scholar alumni have participated in the McNair Scholars Program. Over 2,500 McNair Scholars have earned Doctorate degrees and thousands more have earned Masters and Professional degrees (MD and LLD).
